MODEL CALL for Melbourne Families!
I’m offering Half-Day-in-the-Life sessions shot in an entirely documentary approach and I am looking for families to help with a FREE session!
These sessions will be entirely unscripted, unposed, undirected. I will simply shadow your family on a normal day and document the story of the day. This style is sometimes known as family photojournalism.
I am offering a free half-day-in-the-Life family session that will last about 3 hours. These sessions will start in the morning when you are just waking up and starting your day. You do not need to plan any special activities or coordinating outfits for these sessions,in fact, please don't! My goal is to capture your regular life at home with your children, whatever that entails. I’m looking to capture family dynamics that capture the cultural diversity of real families around the world.
For these free sessions, you will be required to sign a model release for all family members, so that I may use the images in my portfolio, on my website and social media, as well as a model release for them to be used in my stock portfolio. As a thank-you for helping me, you will receive 20 high-resolution images of your choice from your session (a $700 value). You can also choose to purchase additional images or prints if you would like, but it is not required!
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Families can be traditional, step-families, same-sex, or single parents.
Ethnic diversity is important and I welcome family traditions as part of the everyday story.
I also want to be inclusive, and would love to consider the inclusion of a family member with a disability.
Children should be aged from newborn - 5 years old
HOME SPECIFICATION:
Apartment, townhouse, or detached house with good natural light
Garden/outdoor deck area preferred so that an outdoor environment can be included
