Fundraising Opportunity | Fine Art Portraits for Children
Fine Art Portraits for Children Fundraiser
I’ve been shooting Fine Art Portraits for Children for over five years, and I’d now love to establish a valuable partnership between your kinder, school, childcare centre or community group and my unique services.
Candid portraits, with a big splash of personality, and invaluable attention to detail, is something I’m excited to offer to your group. We will partner with you on revenue offering 10% of all net profits.
What are Fine Art Portraits for Children? We offer parents a more custom, candid and boutique option for portraits than your average portrait provider. We pride ourselves on capturing a technically sound photograph that accentuates each child’s individual personality. We don’t like the word “cheese” and we do not believe in forcing a smile. We thrive on authenticity and natural expressiveness. We believe we have a service that parents crave for marking these fleeting childhood memories and we know that this program is a definite value added to your group.
We shoot all the portraits ourselves and let our online digital system take care of ordering and processing payments. We minimally interrupt classroom schedules spending 2-3 minutes with each child and provide your families with images for their walls that are unique, powerful, meaningful, desired and lasting.
Where are the portraits taken? We shoot the fine art portraits using a black backdrop exclusively with natural light, preferably under some type of canopy or breezeway or next to a window. We would like to work with you in the weeks preceding our shoot to determine together the best possible places for shooting. Safety is our first priority, second only to ideal lighting conditions, which are best achieved by the use of natural sunlight.
What ages can be photographed? We can photograph all ages from babies who can hold their head up, to adults.
What about siblings? Any siblings who are present at the same session can be photographed together as well as separately.
How do parents pay? Our entire system is hosted online. Each child will receive 4-10 proofs shown in both colour and black and white for viewing through a secure, password protected (with the child’s birthdate), online link. All orders and payments are processed online. Your group does not have to worry about printed proofs, order forms, or handling/processing money. Our online system takes care of everything.
What does it cost for the families? We offer both print and digital packages starting at $45. After a package is purchased, families have the opportunity to purchase boutique A La Carte product choices including lustre prints, fine art prints and canvases. Sample products are available for viewing.
Do parents have to participate? Participation is not required. Unless we are notified prior to the shoot, we will shoot portraits for every child on campus, and provide proofs for each child we photograph. Proofs will be provided digitally and because of this you will not have to worry about collecting un-purchased proofs or order forms. If parents do not want to participate or purchase any items, they are not obligated.
How long does the whole process take? After we shoot the pictures, it will take approximately 3 weeks before proofs are released to the parents. The order deadline will be listed for two weeks after proof release. Once all orders are in, products will begin to arrive 2-4 weeks later. We will personally deliver all of the products to your group, unless the parents note otherwise.
